Description The Robert Axle Trainer Axle TRA212 – 159, 162 or 165mm x 1.5 is designed to adapt your thru axle equipped bike with your wheel-on trainer. And this axle will work with just about any brand of trainer including 1up, Blackburn, Cyclops, Kinetic, Tacx, Wahoo and many others. And the best part about replacing your stock axle with this one for your trainer, is that you will be able to leave it on your bike for good. These axles are safe to use permanently on your bike, simply remove the drive side axle end & ride outside! This will be an excellent way to streamline your training by making your life that much easier. Trainer Axle TRA212 Features This trainer axle will replace your bike’s stock 12 mm thru axle This axle is compatible with 1up, Blackburn, Cyclops, Kinetic, Tacx, Wahoo and many other wheel-on resistance trainers. If you have a Smart Trainer like the latest Wahoo Kickr where you take your rear wheel off then you do not need this axle! The true length of the axle shaft is 165 mm. You will be able to shorten it using the included spacers – a flat 6 mm spacer and a flat 3 mm spacer. This allows for axle lengths of 162, or 159 mm. Please note: Thru-axle lengths do not equal hub standards. An axle has to be longer than the hub to fit in the frame. A 12×148 hub does not equal a 148mm long axle. This axle has a 1.5 mm thread pitch. The axle shaft and axle ends are precision CNC machined from 7075 aluminum, and hard anodized for rugged durability. No special tools required. Design allows for installation or wheel removal using your standard 5 mm hex wrench. Designed, built and quality tested in the USA. Proven around the world. Important: Before you order, make sure your specific trainer will accommodate the width of your modern thru-axle equipped bike. Measure your trainer at the widest setting and measure the outside width of your bike frame. The trainer axle ends will extend 15 mm past your frame on each side. Not sure how this axle system works?
