Because sometimes you run out of space on your seat post if you are running a saddle bag. Or if you just don’t find your rear light is getting enough attention up high. Because this bracket uses the standard bolt spacing you will be able to battery & Dynamo powered rear lights on. If your mudguard/fender doesn’t have a hole for mounting the bracket you may need to make one!
