At Survivalist Prepper I have adopted the squirrel as the mascot because I think they embrace what preparedness is all about. As preppers, we squirrel stuff away to prepare for the long cold winter. It’s one thing to gather nuts and food, but you also need to “Protect Your Nuts” to make sure you are ready when winter comes.
